Sounds Like
Hum meets Heart meets Hole, or Queen meets Queensryche meets Queens of the Stone Age
The Headless makes enormous rock songs for filling stadiums, but writes them in the corner of a bedroom and plays them in a basement. It harkens back to the grunge era and early aughts alt-metal, and laces in over-the-top theatrical rock.
The Headless is currently playing small clubs in the Midwest, and none of them will allow pyrotechnics, but maybe we can figure something out.
NOV 28 @ THE FUNHOUSE: THE BIG SWAP
w/ The Kinetic Stereokids & Past Dog Beach ★ Ann Arbor Funhouse ★ Sat 11/28
This show is going to work a little differently. Every band on the bill is bringing CD-Rs, zines, and whatever else we've made by hand, and we want you to bring your own stuff too. Burn a mix CD, staple together a zine, draw something, make a bracelet, or bring anything else you made yourself.
Then we trade. Bands swap with fans, fans swap with bands, and everybody swaps with everybody. Hand us your mix CD and we'll hand you ours. The Headless CD-Rs will have our released songs, demos, and a few other goodies you can't get anywhere else, and every one of them is burned and labeled by hand.
You'll walk in with a mix CD and walk out with a stack of new ones, which is how we all found music in the first place.
Who I'd Like to Meet:
the other weirdos out there who might be into this kind of thing. promoters. bookers. people with vans. anyone who knows a guy with a fog machine. Jim Steinman's ghost.
